The works of Ujaala is simply amazing. I'm a Post graduate scholar in the UK... but I always had plans to start a charity organisation in India and I have a lot of ideas which is actually much closer to the ideologies followed by Ujaala. The involvement local communities, indulging people form rural background, prevent the extinction of ethnic arts and crafts and also extinction of village landscapes due to rapid urbanisation are some of the concerns and points that I would like to put forth...as the base to start the organisation .... also I ve loads of ideas to formulate and enrich the charity in beneficial ways.but I'm still all stuck up to the base of where to start and what to do like every other individual... it would be a lot helpful If i get some ideas and guidance from your side. Moving out of the area certainly makes things tougher. I might put #2 before #1, as we did with Ujaala - and have the group collectively come together to define a mission statement. Making this part collaborative I think really helped us gel the participation of some of the younger members of the group.
