This is really neat idea Sunil, all though the term 'technology' makes the study /extremely/ broad (is the trip computer in the participants Volvo 'technology' in this context).

I'm wondering if you're going to collect information about specific types of technology, or if you'll let your participants define the term for themselves? From the description, it seems like you're going after data on 'personal' technologies which people select and use deliberately (personal electronics and online app (google apps etc) or specific-use website usage patterns (online banking, online billpay, chat and form of chat, mail and service used for same, travel planning and booking etc).

Cool idea. :)

Really cool idea for research. Were you thinking of also contrasting this to technology usage in the united states? Perhaps trying to understand technology use in communities that are having difficulties assimilating into society. I like your idea though, great stuff.
